The Lodge was Founded  in 1949 by the old boys of Tottenham Grammar School. Whilst the school no longer exists much of the traditions and history of the school are maintained even though the lodge is now ‘Open’.. The Crest used by the Lodge was that which the school badge was based on and is drawn from the crest of the Duchess of Somerset who re-endowed the school in 1692. An annual founder’s day ceremony is held each year in Westminster Abbey where a wreath is laid on the tomb of Sarah Duchess of Somerset.
